1. Program Overview

The SavePoint Affiliate Program ("Program") allows qualified participants ("Affiliates") to earn commissions by promoting SavePoint personal finance software ("Software") to their networks, audiences, and communities. This agreement ("Agreement") governs your participation in the Program.

By applying to and participating in the Program, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, as well as SavePoint's general Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

2. Commission Structure

2.1 Commission Rates

Commission rates are based on your monthly sales performance and reset each month:

Tier Monthly Sales Commission Rate Example Commission Payment Terms
Starter 1-9 sales 30% of sale price Up to $30 per $100 sale 90 days
Professional 10-24 sales 40% of sale price Up to $40 per $100 sale 60 days
Elite 25+ sales 50% of sale price Up to $50 per $100 sale 45 days

2.2 Commission Calculation

Commissions are calculated as a percentage of the actual sale price based on your tier. The dollar amounts shown ("Up to $30-$50") are based on SavePoint's $100 base price. Actual commissions will vary with sale prices, discounts, promotions, and pricing changes.

Examples:
• $100 sale at Starter tier (30%) = $30 commission
• $75 sale with discount at Professional tier (40%) = $30 commission
• $120 sale at Elite tier (50%) = $60 commission

2.3 Payment Terms

Commissions are paid between 45-90 days (depending on tier) from the date of purchase confirmation AND license redemption, whichever occurs later. There is no minimum payout threshold - commissions are calculated as a percentage of each individual sale and paid regardless of amount.

Elite Tier Bonus: Top-performing Elite tier affiliates may receive a complimentary SavePoint license and additional performance bonuses at SavePoint's discretion. This is, at minimum, eligible for redemption once every 12 months, regardless of how many months an affiliate is an Elite member. This benefit does not roll over year to year. License will be made available within Affiliate's account on savepointfinance.com.

2.4 Tax Documentation Requirements

Once an affiliate's cumulative earnings reach $600 within a calendar year (as referenced in Section 8.2), SavePoint is required to collect appropriate tax documentation (W-9 for U.S. affiliates or the applicable tax form for non-U.S. affiliates) before releasing any further payments.

SavePoint will make reasonable efforts to notify affiliates as they approach this threshold (for example, at approximately $500 and again at $600). However, it remains the affiliate's responsibility to monitor their earnings and to submit the required documentation promptly.

Please note: Once the $600 threshold is reached, new commissions will continue to accrue but payouts will be placed on hold until the required tax documentation is received. Affiliates will have 90 days from the date of notice to provide the documentation. If the documentation is not received by December 31 of the year in which the threshold was reached, SavePoint may treat the account as inactive and any unpaid commissions for that year may be forfeited in accordance with this policy. SavePoint will attempt to notify affiliates prior to any action being taken.

SavePoint cannot issue payments without valid tax documentation. Affiliates are responsible for all taxes regardless of amount earned. SavePoint does not provide any tax advice. Please consult a tax professional with any questions.

2.5 Payment Fees

Payment processing fees may be deducted from commission distributions. Fees vary based on payment method and affiliate location. Affiliates are responsible for selecting their preferred payment method, and all applicable fees will be deducted from the distribution amount.

4.1 FTC Compliance

REQUIRED: Affiliates MUST disclose their affiliate relationship with SavePoint in accordance with FTC guidelines. This includes using #ad, #affiliate, or "I earn a commission" in social media posts and clearly stating affiliate relationships in content.

4.2 Prohibited Practices

Affiliates may NOT:

  • Use spam tactics, bots, fake traffic, or fraudulent methods
  • Make misleading claims about SavePoint's features or benefits
  • Bid on SavePoint brand keywords in paid advertising
  • Make negative or disparaging comparisons to competitors
  • Claim to be an employee, official partner, or representative of SavePoint
  • Use SavePoint's trademarked terms in domain names or social media handles

  • Use deceptive practices to trick users into purchasing

4.3 Brand Protection

Affiliates must protect SavePoint's brand reputation by maintaining professional standards in all promotional activities. Content should align with SavePoint's values of privacy, financial empowerment, and user respect.

4.4 Good Faith Requirement

Affiliates are expected to act in good faith, building trust with their audience rather than using manipulative tactics. Honest, authentic recommendations are valued over aggressive sales tactics.

5. Tracking and Reporting

5.1 Current Tracking Method

Approved affiliates receive a unique affiliate code or identifier. When customers purchase SavePoint, they can enter the affiliate's code or name during the checkout process to ensure proper attribution. This system ensures affiliates receive credit for their referrals without requiring manual notification.

Important: Customers MUST enter the affiliate code or name at the time of purchase. Retroactive referral claims (attempting to assign affiliate credit after purchase) may not be honored and are subject to SavePoint's sole discretion on a case-by-case basis.

5.2 Final Approval Authority

SavePoint reserves the right to make the final determination on all referral approvals and commission payments at our sole discretion. This includes, but is not limited to, evaluating the legitimacy of referrals, compliance with program terms, and adherence to promotional guidelines. All commission decisions are final and binding.

5.3 Future Tracking System

SavePoint is developing an enhanced automated tracking system with unique affiliate links, real-time dashboards, and detailed analytics. This will complement the current code entry system and provide affiliates with comprehensive tracking capabilities.

5.4 Commission Verification and Adjustments

SavePoint reserves the right to verify the legitimacy of referrals and may reject commissions for fraudulent, suspicious, or non-compliant activities.

Returns and Chargebacks

When customers return products or initiate chargebacks, the corresponding commission will be deducted from the affiliate's account balance. If the affiliate account balance is insufficient to cover the deduction, the affiliate may be responsible for repaying the difference.

Fraudulent Activity

Affiliates are responsible for ensuring all referrals are legitimate and comply with these terms. In cases of fraudulent activity, including but not limited to fake purchases, stolen credit cards, or violation of promotional guidelines, affiliates will be required to repay all improperly earned commissions plus any associated costs or damages.

Quality Assurance: These policies help maintain program integrity and ensure fair compensation for all affiliates. We work with affiliates to resolve issues and provide guidance on best practices to avoid problems.

6. Materials and Support

6.1 Marketing Materials

SavePoint may provide approved marketing materials including banners, graphics, product information, and promotional content. Affiliates should use these materials or create content that aligns with SavePoint's brand guidelines.

6.2 Support Levels

  • Starter Tier: Email support and standard materials
  • Professional Tier: Priority support and premium materials
  • Elite Tier: Dedicated access to management team via Discord

7. Termination and Violations

7.1 Termination Rights

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time with written notice. SavePoint may immediately terminate affiliates who violate these terms.

7.2 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, affiliates must cease all promotional activities. Commissions earned before termination will be paid according to the normal payment schedule.

7.3 Account Inactivity

Accounts with no sales for 12 months may be subject to review and potential termination. Affiliates will be notified before any action is taken.

8. Legal and Liability

8.1 Independent Contractor

Affiliates are independent contractors, not employees or official partners of SavePoint LLC. This agreement does not create any employment, partnership, or agency relationship.

8.2 Tax Responsibility

Affiliates are responsible for all applicable taxes on their commission earnings. SavePoint will provide appropriate tax documentation as required by law. U.S. affiliates must submit a completed IRS Form W-9 with a valid TIN before any payout once cumulative earnings reach $600 in a calendar year. SavePoint may withhold payments until a W-9 is received and will issue Form 1099-NEC for U.S. affiliates with annual payouts of $600 or more.

8.3 Limitation of Liability

SavePoint's liability is limited to the payment of earned commissions. SavePoint is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in the affiliate program.

8.4 Indemnification

Affiliates agree to indemnify SavePoint against any claims, damages, or legal costs arising from their promotional activities or violations of these terms.

9. Modifications and Updates

SavePoint reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Affiliates will be notified of material changes via email. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

Commission rates and tier requirements may be adjusted with 30 days written notice. Referrals from purchases made before any rate changes will be honored at the original commission rates that were in effect at the time of purchase.
