A Note About Installation
Since SavePoint is distributed independently rather than through the Mac App Store, macOS will show a security prompt when you first open the application. This is normal for any app downloaded outside the App Store. To open SavePoint, right-click the application and select "Open" from the menu, then click "Open" again in the dialog that appears. You only need to do this once.
💡Another Technical Workaround We Recommend
- Download SavePoint.dmg from the website
- Double-click the downloaded SavePoint.dmg file. A new window will pop open
- Drag SavePoint into the Applications folder (there’s usually a shortcut in that window)
- Close that window, then right-click the SavePoint icon on your desktop or sidebar and click Eject (Open Finder then go to Applications and then go to Utilities and finally Terminal
- Copy and paste this line exactly: xattr -cr /Applications/SavePoint.app, then press Enter:
- You can then close the terminaln
- Go to your Applications folder and double-click SavePoint. It should open normal!
